"Bring her up here to me Ana!" said the Captain, and Ana went back downstairs. Pike and Skit were still there, watching over the girl, she seemed exhausted by all of her screaming and jumping just a few moments ago.
Ana aproached the cell, "Lydia, it is Lydia ain't it? If you be very quiet, and behave yourself, we be takin you up to see the Captain, savvy?"
The girl looked back up at her, she looked furious, but through clenched teeth she muttered, "Alright."
Ana instructed Pike and Skit to take the girl up to see Captain Turner, but unfortunately the girl kicked and screamed as soon as she was led out of the cell.
"Gag her." said Ana.
Once they were above deck Ana saw another stranger sprawled on deck, and her mates were all surrounding the stranger. She could only hear the stranger introducing herself to the captain. "I'm Gwenaëlle Delaroche m'lady."
"I am not a lady you know," replied Captain Turner with a laugh, Ana approached them, never wanting to be left out of the loop.
"I am Ana Pearl, pleased to make your acquaintance Gwenelle? Gwai..nielle? ..... Gwien? Can I just call you Gwen?" asked Ana, holding out her hand.
Gwen looked at the strange looking pirate lass, and shook it, "I do not mind, I have been called a lot worse."
"Oh goody no worries then, anyway, that is Gavin, Will Turner, Gibbs, Emil, and etc etc etc, aren't we all one big happy family eh?" said Ana again. "OH and Captain! The Thornton's girl!" Ana continued, pointing towards the gagged and panic stricken girl, being held by two pirates.
"Lydia!" said Gavin under his breath; he started but Will held him back, "Don't do anything rash now Gavin!" he whispered back to the young man.

Lydia had thought she could cry no more, but she was wrong. As she laid eyes on the man she had met the day before, the man she'd thought had attempted to rescue her, fresh tears welled up in her eyes, obscurring her vision.
He had seemed so noble, coming to her aid, just like one of the dashing young men in the novels her governess would never let her read. But it had all been a setup - he was one of them. For the first time in her life Lydia felt completely alone.
She had stopped struggling. She was hardly even aware of the pirates holding her arms. Ordinarily she would have mourned the way their rough hands snagged the silk of her gown, not to mention been outraged at the liberties they were taking to have their hands on her at all. Now she could do nothing but stare at Gavin with a look that said "Et tu Brute" - or would have said so, had she been at all aware of what those words meant.

Calen turned as Ana pointed at the girl that she had just brought up.Calen had expected the girl to have been looked after and was shocked at the state of her.
"ANA!" she roared turning on her
"umm yes" she replied unsure of what she had done
"Which part of "look after her" don't you understand "
Ana looked at Calen puzzled "im not stupid you know i do understand english"
"Well you could have fooled me .Because you are either stupid or incapable to follow orders which might end up with you learning how cold that water actually is" Calen raged
She moved over to The Thornton's girl and took off the rag gagging her and after a look from her Pike and Skit let go of her arms.
She turned back to Ana
"never again do anything as you feel it should be done when you are on my ship because as im sure you have figured out your way is NOT my way"

"Well, thank you very much for remindin' me Cap'n, for your information, I had no intention of hurting her! It was those two!." said Ana and pointed towards the two pirates who were holding the girl. The two pirates let go of the girl immediately, stammered and shook their heads.
"Either way, get back to work ye rats!" said the Captain to the two pirates, and they scurried off but not without grumbling to themselves first. Ana could sense Captain Turner didn't particularly trust her, but she didn't exactly blame the Captain.

Something in the grumbling caught Calen's attention and she looked up sharply, seeming only then to notice the expressions on her men's faces. Those that weren't watching Lydia were gazing at the soaked young french woman. And while a few of them looked sympathetic, the others had expressions on their faces she knew all to well. God Damn It! Why didn't I think
There were those that said that having a woman on board ship was unlucky, but as far as Calen could see it was generally only unlucky for the woman. Even among the so called better classes, there were those who would "have their fun" when they wanted it, regardless of whether the woman was consenting, and among pirates... She had had a few close calls herself several years back, before she'd learn to spot the worst of them and keep them off her ship. She shivered a little, involuntarily, remembering.
Since then she'd tried to be careful in choosing her crew. None of the current crew had ever tried anything, but then again she'd made damn sure that they were all afraid of her. She'd wondered briefly how Ana coped, but presumably Emil helped scare off unwanted attention.
She glanced at Lydia again. The girl was practically radiating helplessness, and while that might inspire feelings of protectiveness in a chivalrous man, it would inspire something quite different in the other sort. And she was afraid that her crew was mostly the other sort.
She had better do something to difuse the situation fast.

Jose, having finally caught his breath, rose from the deck of the ship, and stood upright. Sensing the atmosphere as being rather tense, the Spaniard walked over to where the women in question, Lydia and the newly arrived Gwen, stood. Lydia was, of course, already in tune to her dire situation. She was rather pale, and trembling with uncertainty and fear. It was now that Gwen became aware that things were not all ship shape. The leering eyes, the licking of lips, the subtle cat calls. It was not a good thing to be a female on a ship, and a pirate ship, no less, thought Gwen as she noted the skull and crossbones flag that fluttered above the mast overhead. Gwen had just escaped a rather nasty situation. All she needed was another one.
One pirate stepped forth, unsubtle as unsubtle could be. "Captain," he yelled. "Booty is to be shared amongst the crew, and that includes women-folk. These women were not invited aboard, nor are they friends or guests. That makes them plunder. And I demand my share of it!" The pirate made a bold step forward, and reached out his hand as if he were to grab Lydia by the arm. A like-minded companion made his way in the same fashion towards Gwen.
There was a quick flash, and instantly a dagger was at the one pirate's throat and a few swords at the other's breast. Calen had drawn her dagger quickly. She was fast, indeed. And the swords of Jose and Gavin were drawn equally as swiftly and settled against the other pirate. Jose grinned and tweaked his mustache with his free hand. Will put his hand to his forehead and sighed at the lack of restraint and the rashness of his new friend's move. Yet, he still drew his own sword, and pointed it in the direction of the offending pirates--he could not outshine Jose in chivalry, yet chivalry was his all the same.
Calen shouted, "There will be no moves made on either of these women. Yes, technically they may be considered booty. Particularly Ms. Thornton here, who Ana had abducted." Calen gave Ana a cross look. "But I did think that we were rather respectable pirates. We don't do this sort of thing."
"We don't," questioned the pirate who was at dagger point. He laughed. "You haven't seen everything we do then. Or perhaps you've just turned a blind eye to save your own conscience?" He spat, and withdrew, and his companion followed suit.
There were still rumblings of discontent and fury from among the crew. Calen somehow knew that though her command had been given, the matter was not entirely settled. "Where shall I keep these two in safety," she wondered aloud.
Overhearing, Jose drew his own dagger. He whispered into Lydia's ear, "Forgive me, senorita. For your own safety." He took her hand and pricked it ever so slightly with the dagger. A small drop of blood issued, and nothing more. Lydia let out a protesting gasp. Jose held up Lydia's hand. "Captain," he said. "Look! The woman must have been injured in her cell down below. She is wounded and needs medical attention. And the Lady Gwen is no doubt water-logged and in need of the same. I suggest they be allowed to seek healing in the surgeon's quarters. And I shall watch over them whenever my duties allow."
"And I, as well," added Gavin, his eyes upon Lydia, and a slight smile upon his face. She returned the smile a bit, and bowed her head.
Calen agreed. "Very well. See to it, Jose and Gavin. Will, I want you to be in charge of the surgeon's quarters for now. My idiot surgeon chose not to come along with us on this journey." Will, Gavin, and Jose took the two ladies by the hand, and led them away towards the surgeon's room. Calen, Ana, and Emil still stood there facing the crew. Calen sheathed her dagger, yet kept her hand at the ready should she have to draw her cutlass. Things were begining to subside for now, and the crew returned to their duties. Calen sighed in relief. But the crew still whispered amongst themselves.
Jose shut the door behind them all. He kissed Lydia's pricked finger, and said with a bow, "A thousand apologies, miss. I mean you no harm, and would only see you safe." He turned to Gwen, bowed, kissed her hand, and said with a large smile, "It is good to see one of my neighbors! These seas are too full of Englishmen for my tastes, and I am overjoyed to meet you, my fair French maiden. Senorita Gwen, we shall have to talk later. Right now, I have matters in my quarters to attend to. Charts...or something."
With a knowing nod to Gavin and Will, and a wink to Gwen and Lydia, Jose parted company with them.

Calen looked at the crew member that had started the mess .He was farliy new to her crew ,new enough to cause trouble and give the rest of the crew a bad reputation. Now what was his name ........oh god good start i can't remember his name...................james?.....no...........joe......no that wasn't it.....aww crap.......... andy that was it . Now where is that trouble maker its time i made an example for the others.
Calen walked around the ship pulling all the ropes up from the sides of the ship , the crew gave her strange looks but not one of them dared to ask her what she was doing. She located Andy and slowly walked over to the still grumbeling man.
"Andy!" she said sharply
"yes Cap'in" he replied annoyance in his eyes along with lust
"goodbye"
He gave a most confused look which changed to horror when she threw him overboard.Calen turned around and pulled herself up to the side of the ship so as she could see the whole crew.
"Now you lot listen and listen good ! Everyone one of the woman on this ship are under my protection if anyone of you dares to touch them without their say you will be joining Andy in davey jones's locker understood!"
There were mumbels of understanding from her crew which satisfied Calen enough for her to jump down from the side of the ship and walk over to Amiee .
"So which way are we going?"

Ana sheathed back her sword, that was quite a scare, she didn't expect the crew would turn on the Captain like that, but the Captain had now removed the trouble maker, whom Ana had no pleasure of really knowing. He was thrown overboard. The rest of the crew were quite taken aback and scurried off this way and that, resuming their daily duties.
"Aye! Get back to work ye mangy dogs!" yelled Ana to the crew. Captain Turner looked back at her, Ana almost half expected another cold stare, but this time the Captain's eyes were warm, but still she wasn't smiling. Ana smiled back anyway.
"Emil, you keep a sharp eye on the crew eh?" whispered Ana to Emil, and he nodded.
Ana went up to the bridge where right now Gibbs was steering with Aimèe by his side; and Captain Turner joined them.
"So which way are we going?" she asked the young girl. Aimèe merely shooked her head, clearly she had no idea.
"We're headin a quarter northeast Captain, with the winds fully ahead, we're having no trouble now." answered Gibbs.
"Good."
"Uh Captain, I'm curious, you have no problem whatsoever with, our plan?" asked Ana hesitantly, she really didn't want to upset the Captain even more.

"my only problem Ana is that you didn't tell me the plan from the start and i had to find out by listening to a private conversation other than that no i have no problem"
Ana started at Calen with a little bit of disbelief
"really i have no problems Ana i'd be glad to meet Captain Jack Sparrow i've heard good things of him"
"from who?" Ana asked
"The old Captian along with half of this crew i believe they met him before when he was Captain of the Black Pearl and before barbossa took it .Aparently my father had met him too so there is another reason i want to meet him , i want to know if he did met him"

"Well is that so, I was with him all that time, Cap'n, indeed Jack really knew your father and so did I." said Gibbs, who was still steering.
"Did you now?" asked the Captain, looking up to the old man behind the wheel.
"Yes, indeed, and so did Ana, and Emil there; Bootstrap Bill, he was loyal to Jack, a good pirate, and a good man, we didn't know e'had a daugh'er, figured Will was i's only child, Jack would've been knocked out of his boots!" continued Gibbs with a hearty laugh.
"What do you mean a good pirate?" asked the Captain standing up.
Gibbs looked at Ana, and Ana looked back at Gibbs, "You didn't know your father was a pirate?" asked Gibbs.
"No, he's a merchant sailor, at least that was what my mother told me."
"He was a pirate m'lady, a good one too, loyal he be to Jack, didn't quite sit well wit your father when Barbossa betrayed Jack and left him to die on that sorry excuse for an island, so Bootstrap sent one of those cursed gold syilings down to Will, and in turn Barbossa.........."
"Barbossa what?" asked Ana this time, and the Captain looked at Ana as well. Ana didn't know because she and Emil abandoned the Black Pearl as soon as Barbossa was Captain.
"He..... left him to Davy Jones Locker."

Calen couldn't take that her father was a pirate a dead pirate .She turned on her heel and almost ran to her cabin , knocking Will over on the way .
"Cal?"
Will got up and walked over to Ana , Gibbs , Amiee and Emil.He gave them a confused and slightly dazed look.
"Ok whats got in to her?"
"ummm could be ...well its Gibbs' fault" Ana pointed
"What did you do ?" Will asked

"What did you do Gibbs?" asked Will again.
"I..... I told her what happened to yer father." he replied, his voice lowering.
"I'm not entirely sure she was prepared for it Will, you should go and check on her, and ye better start explaining what happened." said Ana, Will looked at her solemnly and left.

In the surgeon's quarters...
Gwenaëlle shifted uncomfortably on her seat while the man called Gavin was taking care of the other woman, who was looking rather frightened.
"Here. It's done !" he said, flashing a smile.
He turned to Gwen, who was looking anxious.
"Your turn, young lady. Let me examine you."
"I assure you there's no need" replied the young maiden, rather cooly. " All I need is dry clothes"
"But you fainted !" exclaimed Gavin " I have to check if everything's ok !"
The girl sighed, mumbling something in French. Gavin could see she wasn't happy.
"Here. Let's see..."
Verifying her temperature, he noticed something on her neck. Examining that closer, he figured out it was a bruise, big and purple.
"Where did you get that ?" he asked.
"None of your businness !" came the cold reply.
After a fast look, Gavin saw she had bruises on her arms and light scars on her back.
"What's all that ?" he demanded.
Gwenaëlle looked at him stubbornly and said nothing.... and then burst out :
"You really want to know eh ?" she said angrily, tears in her eyes. " Want to hear that I've been beaten and abused ? That I was... a... an "easy woman" as you called them ? But you must know what it is, eh pirate ? Bande de chiens galeux ! Tous autant qu'ils sont !!!"
Gavin stared blankly at the young woman, wordless. He didn't know what to say or do. As she was crying, he put a comforting arm around her and waited.

Gabby was sitting on the bed twiddling her thumbs for most of the time that Jose was gone. She wanted to get up and have a look around his room, maybe crack open that book he had spoken of, but she was too nervous, afraid that someone would come in and discover her. So she sat behind the curtain, waiting for Jose's return. She was beginning to get bored, when she heard the door open. She jumped a little, but she relaxed when she peeked out from behind the curtain and saw Jose, looking a little different from when he first left.
"Did it rain?" Gabby asked, trying not to grin.
"No, it did not," he replied shortly. He walked over to the chest of drawers, his boots squishing on the floor as he went, and took out some fresh clothes. He looked over at Gabby. "Would you be so kind-"
"Oh, of course," Gabby cut him off before he finished his sentance and closed the curtain. "So what about you?" she asked after a moment.
"What about me?" he said.
"I've told you why I'm here, why are you here? Especially since you say you're not a pirate?"
Jose hesitated a moment before saying, "I have my reasons."
Gabby rolled her eyes and said, "Well, that tells me a lot. Now, come one, tell me. It's only fair you should." And it's only fair you should finish dressing so I can open this curtain and give you pitiful looks to make you tell me, she didn't say.
Jose sighed and went over to the bed and opened the curtain. "I'm a cartographer. I wanted to make some new maps," he said. Gabby was skeptical; she raised her eyebrow at him and said, "And for that you need to be on a pirate ship?"
"Well, I am also here to claim something that is rightfully mine," he said. Ah-ha! thought Gabby.
"And what would that something be?" she asked coyly.
"You shall find out in due time, my dear. Now, are you hungry?" he asked, changing the subject quickly.
"Starving," she said; she was hesitant to talk about something other than this mysterious "something" he was after, but she hadn't eaten anything since lunch the previous day.
"I'll go down to the galley and see if I can't find something for you," he winked at her, and was out the door.
