Ok! Hear ye hear ye! Calling all pirates, damsels, rogues, thieves, vampires, and etc etc ... clearly I havent started the rpg but I'm going to, its' just with all the administrating I havent found the time but here is an out line of it.
I've been doin some research and pirates /buckaneers/corsairs/privateers controlled / plundered / attacked most of the water trade on the high seas, (they usually attacked Spanish fleets but often times attacked any ships with gold and other treasures, like guns and amunition) mainly around the mediterranean and caribbean islands from around the 16th to 18th century (1600 - 1800).
Setting - 1655 Port Royal, Jamaica. This takes place right after the curse of the black pearl and governors/commodores were no longer occupying Port Royal, leaving it a rampant pirate haven.
Ok, I see, we have Will's sister and Jack's daughter. Is it safe to say Will and Elizabeth are married, or maybe NOT YET married, and living together on Port Royal, but Jack is no where to be found? Feedback needed thank you!

Jack would be on his ship with the crew that broke the code. If ya get me....
People would know that he's on it but wouldn't know where the ship is.

Ok how's this, 1) the Black Pearl is hijacked by a very mysterious ship 2) Jack is missing - according to Gibbs Outline = we gotta go rescue Jack on board that mysterious ship, which now is together with the black pearl somewhere in the mediterranean, and maybe some cursed treasure is involved later in the story. Oh and we need a ship, I shall then approach Captain Calen if she would join, promising wealth beyond her dreams, and we be needing a crew, and we gotta have a sponsor to sponsor our pistols and ammo and stuff, that's where Lady Disdain's character comes in, cuz she's a wealthy merchant's daughter (Kidnap and ransom the usual) I have an idea for Aimee, maybe Jack left his compass with you (or maybe your mother) right before he sailed off with the Black Pearl cuz he thought he might never need it again? But your mother, even though she hated him for leaving, kept the broken compass anyway? **Just an idea, feed back needed! Thanks!** Btw! I like the way the story is going

Yeah, I havent thought that Krys! But of course young adventurer seekers (aka RPG'ers) would come aboard and become crew as well. I'm kinda stumped on WHY they kidnapped Jack so give some ideas k And then we'll vote on it, hows these sound? Possible Motives The mysterious ship crewed by a mysterious Captain wanted the Black Pearl, to show the way to Isle De Muerta, where the Barbossa's pirates abandoned their treasures. The mysterious ship is captained by Barbossa's son/daughter/cousin/distant relation and wants to throw Jack into the pits of the volcano of Isle De Muerta for killing Barbossa. OR the mysterious ship needed Jack's blood to unlift yet another curse on Isle de Muerta, cause he was the one who found the compass in the first place. Ok thats all I can come up with for now though.... please add your motives too! and then we'll decide on which is the best one

Yay! Alright, I guess to get everything straight, this RPG takes place a couple of years after the Curse of The Black Pearl.
And about the motive thing, how bout the villain captured Jack because Jack stole the compass from him/her ? And that compass might be a key to something really huge, a lost city of gold maybe? Need opinions on this, hehehehe, that's all for now.

It's the weirdest thing but Niph came up with the same/similar idea too, so it's settled then. Plus Niph added the Villain might be of Spanish origin and Jack stole the compass from him/her, and that compass could be the answer to the lost city of Gold, El Dorado , somewhere in the Americas I think. Anyway, that's much further in the story. BTW I came across this awesome site, where ALL you're pirates related Questions will be answered, it even has piracy history (from as farback as the Vikings-yes Vikings were pirates of the seas) Includes biographies, history, language, famous pirates and etc etc etc Swaschbuckler's Cove-The Golden Age of Piracy

Okay from what I gathered from the Curse, and from Jeff and Niph, this is a slightly altered version.
The Origins of the Curse of the Black Pearl (The Myth)
Cortes (A Spanish Explorer) went to the Americas and plundered/attacked the Aztecs because their land was full of gold. The Aztecs wanting to save their people promised Cortes a chestful of gold if he would retreat, Cortes betrayed the promise and continues to attack plus killing their chief, montezuma.
In return, the heathen Gods placed a curse upon the chestful of gold to any man who touches it. Cortes never knew of the curse but proceeded to make a compass which would specifically show the way to Isle De Muerta, still believeing the gold is rightfully his, however his ship was attacked and the compass...lost. There was a few survivors though, including Cortes's son. ******************************************
And then Jack somehow found the compass in some flea market or something, and stumbled upon the treasure, however, Barbossa and his crew marrooned him and took all the gold therefore cursed (Bla..bla..bla..)
***************************************** So NOW, the heir of Cortes wants his family heirloom back, and with all the excitement of Isle De Muerta, they followed the Black Pearl and attacked. However Jack has already left the compass with his daughter Aimèe, believing he'll never need it again.
Ok, I think I just cracked my head a bit thinking about the whole thing, and that's not including the lost city of gold bit! Bear in mind these are all suggestions only!
