I know, Bosun! At first, I couldn't quite believe that the whole idea behind this movie was a ride at Disney! This is really a one-hit wonder.
Anyway, in my opinion, they should've held the premier at Disney World in Orlando rather than Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Disney World is so much bigger than Disneyland. I think the reason they did that was just because it's in California, aka Hollywood.

So like what sort of plot would everybody like to see in the sequel? Some bad guy out of Jack's past come to seek revenge? Should Will's father return? Should the monkey DIE a horrible DEATH?? (I'm personally in favor of the last hehe) Discuss away! Oh and also there's a bit of news about possible back-to-back sequels. Click me!

On a more serious note, when are they supposedly gonna start filming the back to back sequel? Coz Johnny is currently doing Secret Window Secret Garden, and that French movie, plus the Rum Diary, wow, he's REALLY got his hands full. Can you imagine someone more successful, handsome, sexy, dreamy, funny, charming (and the list goes on) Ahem! *clears throat* Anyway, for the sequel , I was hoping to see a glimpse of Jack's past, and what ACTUALLY happened to Bootstraps, maybe as a flashback, I'm not sure I'd actually WANT Bootstrap to come back, but if he did, it should be interesting. Ummm, maybe a love interest for Jack? I mean all that love but no one to give it too? Mwaahahhaha, and ummm as for Will and Elizabeth, havent put much thought into that. But Ted Elliot and Terry Rosario pretty much blew us away with their screenplay for the first movie, I definitely think they can do it again. These guys are awesome!!!

Why didn't you like Commodore Norrington, Athena? ;D I thought he was a pretty good actor. Actually, I wished that Elizabeth would've off and married him instead of getting it on with Will ... About the sequel ... hey, that's a great idea, Summer! I'd like to hear more about Bootstrap, Will's mother, more of Will's past. All you know about him in Curse of the Black Pearl was that his dad used to be a pirate that was killed, and now he's an apprentice for a blacksmith. And he practices day and night with swords.

You forgot that he has a lovely singing voice and is an enuch I dislike Norrington's character becuase I simply didn't find that the actor did a good job. I understand that the character itself is a bit of a stick-in-the-mud and is quite boring, but the actor used NO expressions, completly emtionless, zilch. When Elizabeth told him that she was going to marry Will he kind of just stood there, not one thing on his face changed. I mean fine, the character is a boring character, but STILL, the actor could have TRIED???

I think thats the whole idea of being a millitary man, to show no emotions, and plus they needed to establish a difference (may it be a huge one) between Norrington (who seem like a cold, emotionless prick) and Will (full of passion, and very rash)
But I thought Norrington did a wonderful job potraying that. I mean he can't be all whiny, and he can't get mad, cuz I also think he's potraying a very civil, strict and disclipined navy officer.

I understand that, a military man can't let his heart show on his sleeve and all that. However, my basic impression of the man was that a wooden board could act better than him. There have been numerous movies involving the military and the military characters have still acted. Anyhoo, that is just my opinion and all that.
And to top all that off, his voice *shudders* it was like, so grating, no inflection whatsoever in his tone!

Are you kidding? Jack Davenport is a wonderful actor! He does show emotion, you just have to look closely to see it. It's a mark of a good actor, imo, to be able to hint at an emotion without going over the top. I wouldn't cast anyone else.

Good point bo, especially the time when he was gonna propose, but then Elizabeth went off and gotten herself drowned. tsk tsk tsk. Poor Norrington. I havent seen Jack in any other movie roles, maybe Bo (or anyone else) can give us an insight .

A very boring, stuck up poonce. So we wouldn't like him and would all love Will
