I was so thrilled when I read this at the OB Files. Because of the major success of POTC, I think the studio is planning on making a sequel to POTC and possibly a whole franchise. Even Johnny Depp on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno said he would love to do a sequel when he was asked by Jay if they were planning on making another POTC. Read this: To read the rest, click me!

Ditto here, I'm really looking forward to it, are there any rumors or news on what its about? they would need a new villain won't they, i guess jonathan pryce, keira, johnny, orlando would still be in it. Jack Sparrow is a very cool dude!

Ooh, just saw this interview with Jerry Bruckheimer over at OBM.net: In this Latino Review interview with Jerry Bruckheimer, the latter mentioned about POTC part 2: Latino Review: I have to ask you about Pirates of the Caribbean. You’ve single handedly brought back the Pirate franchise. Do you have a sequel planned? Do you have Johnny Depp already lined up? Jerry: Yes, we have Johnny Depp already lined up. We just made a deal with the writer who did the re-write of the first Pirates. Let’s hope we can do better than Bad Boys 2. It took me eight years to get that to the screen. We’ll make this much quicker. To read the entire interview, Click here, but the majority of it is about another of Jerry's films. Sounds like Johnny's definitely in! Woohoo!

Well ya can't have PotC without Cap'n Jack Sparrow! Thing is, now that we're all in anticipation, a sequel will no doubt take a few years to produce. Still, something to look forward to besides LotR and Harry Potter.

Well, I'd rather wait a couple years then to have to wait a crappy sequel to POTC. Well, they've definitely made a good decision with signing Johnny up again. But I have a feeling they probably won't sign up Orlando because they'll probably want to do a new storyline with new characters. I mean, naturally, Will would've married Elizabeth so it's not like he could all of a sudden turn into a bad boy and go have adventures with Jack on his ship, right? But no matter, any movie with a drunken pirate and I'm there! ;D Even if my sweetheart isn't there ...

No Orli? Aw. I know a few people who would protest violently to that. ;D
I dunno, maybe Will and Liz can become outlaws. (Maybe? What can I say, I'd hate to see those characters go.)

Well, at least one of those characters isn't going! Kiera is in, at least according to this from the Sunday something-or-other... no that's not it's name... anywho, this is what it says: STUNNING Scots star Keira Knightley, left, is to set sail in the sequel to Pirates Of The Caribbean. Costar Johnny Depp is also lined up and Orlando Bloom is expected to sign on again. (emphasis added) The movie has already made £300million and producer Jerry Bruckheimer said filming of the follow-up begins next year.Wahoo!

Yup, I think so too, Calen. And maybe this sequel will give him a chance to develope his character more... or something... Anywho, just found this at OBM.net: "Michael D. Eisner, the chief executive of the Walt Disney Company, who has his own brands to leverage, does not have to cater to any toy makers. Although he says the sequel to "Pirates" is the last ride-based movie he plans to make, he has an endless supply if he ever changes his mind." So this Pirates will be the final Pirates. (if that's truly the case, then I can't see why or how Orlando could pass it up) To read the rest of the article (which is ridiculously long, talking about making movies about Super Soakers squirt guns [?]), then click here.

That's so f***ing awesome!!! ;D Sorry for the foul language there, I'm just so psyched! Well, if Johnny and Keira have both already signed up to do the sequel, it's definitely probable that Orlando will rejoin the cast. Wazaaaaaaaaa! So excited about this, people! Aww, the last Pirates? The least Michael Eisner could do for us is to make it a trilogy, huh? ;D

I think it's pretty impressive that the folks at Disney managed to pull such an awesome movie from a Disney World ride and theme song. Anyways, it's great to know Keira and hopefully Orlando are in. I bow down to you Niphredil, O Bringer of Good News! ;D
