For those who have not yet seen Johnny in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (quite an old movie, I think he did it in 1999 or something) And I think by far is the kerazieeeeeeeest film I've ever seen Johnny in. Here's a piccie! Believe it or not, thats Johnny, he was bald and pot bellied in that movie, it was hilarious. And I found the article about the movie, I hope someone else seen it too, cos I'm still kinda confused about a few stuff! lol! Fear and Loathing Article[edit] It was released in 1998, hehe!

Yay someone else seen it! Yeah it was sooo funny, especially Johnny (whenever he's not drunk or stoned) wandering aimlessly in Las Vegas getting into ridiculous situations, man I really need to see this again! And Johnny next project (wow he's been having a lot of these) includes a movie The Rum Diary another book by Hunter S Thompson (the guy he was playing in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) I think he loves this Hunter guy Taken from Liz Smith's Article in New York Newsday: Nov 19 - JOHNNY DEPP, that wacky pirate of the Caribbean, already has played wacky gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson in a movie - "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas." But once is not enough for Johnny. He'll again portray Thompson in the film version of Thompson's "The Rum Diaries," due to shoot early next year in Costa Rica. This time, Depp wants to prep properly. He'll move in with Hunter and observe the writer in his lair for a few weeks before filming.

I bought the special edition of this movie on DVD as a blind purchase. I laffed myself stupid throughout the whole movie. Those bats nearly killed me. How about those skinny legs!! Whats the go there??!! Did anyone notice Tobey Maguire as the hitchiker. What a crack up. In the special features part of the DVD there is a part with Johnny's reading letters he wrote to Thompson and thier replies. OH MY GOD!!!! he is so friggin gorgeous. I could not have cared less what he was talking about. I was just listening to that amazing voice and staring in amazement at the TV He speaks so clearly and so well. Mop and bucket was required after the viewing.

Yeah the DVD is the best. You have to get the special edition 2 disc set. It has heaps of extras. The best one is Johnny reading the letters. Drool fest. It has deleted scenes, a making of and heaps of stuff. I got mine from online store glacierbay ebay.

That is cool Smiley. You dont have to explain yaself. I tend to just buy the movies rather than rent them. I know I'm gonna like it. It has Johnny in it. You can't go wrong there You must get the SE of this one if you rent/buy it though. It's a blast.

Use post it notes, they don't get lost. Unless you stick em somewhere and don't remember where you stuck it.....heheheh. I really have to watch this movie again. Just for a laff. It's not a movie to watch if ya wanna perv on the gorgeous Johnny, but, hey as I said b4, Johnny is it so it is worth a hire at least. It is a very good movie. Only one thing annoyed me and that was the cigarette holder he uses. Its a trade mark for the guy he portrays. It just got annoying and was hard to understand what he was saying sometimes. But, hey if that is the only hiccup then its nothing.
