Alright this is the latest Johnny flick to be completed, he's playing J.M Barrie the author of Peter Pan, opposite Kate Winslet, but it wont be released until next year (spring) . Anyway, more here www.imdb.com/title/tt0308644/

Hehe, I saw the title and wondered if he'd be playing Peter Pan.
This should be interesting. I've heard only a little of J.M. Barrie's biography. (And I'm not quite sure Winslet's character, Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, is.) I hope the film does him and his book credit.

(Sorry I've not been on for a while, been a bit bogged down IRL.)
Lol, I don't think Johnny has to wear tights. In fact, no guys do, Peter Pan is played by a girl in this film.
I dunno about OUaTiM, but I definately want to see this. And the new Peter Pan interpretation when it comes out. Y'all may think I'm a saddo, I have something of a soft spot for Barrie's story.

Why do they always get a girl to play Peter Pan? I don't get it.

Probably a bit pointless to answer now that this thread's been inactive for a while, but what can I say, I'm an insufferable know-it-all. (Or I try to be, anyway. ;D)
Back in Barrie's day, there weren't many child actors, so actual boys were ruled out. And women generally play young boys better than men do because they have higher voices. (Eg, Bart Simpson is voiced by Nancy Cartwright; Tommy Pickles by Elizabeth Daily.)

Yay! This movie has recently wrapped and scheduled to be released next year spring 2004, and again, the title is J.M Barrie's Neverland - Johnny is playing the author of the book, J.M Barrie. And as for Peter Pan, the movie, (it looks rather exciting!! Releasing next month) Peter Pan is not played by a girl. He's played by a boy named Jeremy Sumpter and whats more JASON ISAACS PLAYS Captain Hook!! OMG He's so sexy! *faints* must find piccies!! Ok, I'm back! And I found some Peter Pan movie stills Click Here. Jason Isaacs looks good in the pirate get-up

I think that the role of Peter Pan in Johnny's movie IS in fact played by a girl. Yes the other Peter Pan movie has a boy playing Peter Pan. Oh My God!!!! How gorgeous is Jason Isaacs. So loved him in Harry Potter too. Sorry....lost train of thought for a minute there. Yes I have seen how Johnny will look for this role. short hair, clean shaven, even has a suit on. He looks like his 21 Jump Street days. What a babe he was back then

Why the tears Ai~mee? I love Johnny with his long silky brown locks. Would just love to run my fingers though it. It always looks so healthy and clean. Wonder what it smells like *Passes out at the thought*
