I'm glad you are Smiley. Most of em are for you Dont know if this is new news. Sorry if ya already know some of it or it has been posted b4. Johnny's well known for decorating his body with tattoos of significance to him. These are the ones we know about: 1 'Wino Forever' - right bicep 2 Native American head - right bicep 3 'The Brave' symbol - right inside forearm 4 Inverted triangle - left bicep 5 Heart with 'Betty Sue' - left bicep 6 Three small rectangles - right index finger 7 The number '3' - left hand, between thumb & index finger 8 Skull & crossbones with lettering 'death is certain' - outside lower right leg 9 Small unknown symbol - inside right ankle 10 'Lily-Rose' - over heart 11 'Jack' and bird in flight - right forearm and of course there may be others! There are pics of Johnny displaying his tattoos at Jonathan Shaw's Fun City Tattoo site and also at the Vanishing Tattoo site. Not sure if this is the same as the other French movie he has a cameo in. I dont think it is. Paris Je t'aime This film is reported to be a tribute to Paris, France with different directors filming their favourite districts of the city. In 2002 it was reported that Johnny would direct the section about the 3rd district of Paris, using the French actors Jean Rochefort and Annie Girardot. Johnny's segment was due to be filmed in January/February 2003. The film has a projected release of Spring 2004. There is no recent news about this project.

Thanks for the update sparrowlover! I have been actually looking for the release date on Joblo.com but my pc hung up on me just now lol! Yep, an adaptation from a Stephen King novel,Johnny plays a writer (Mort Rainey) who is being stalked by a well, a stalker who accuses Mort of plagirizing (sp?) his work, or something like that. Secret Window Secret Garden is definitely a suspense thriller, don't be fooled by it's seemingly fairy-tale- ish title. Oh wow April! That's not so far off, but of course it would probably be shown later around these tropical waters I checked imdb.com, this is the current status of Johnny's movies, ain't he the buzy one these days... 1.J.M Barrie Neverland (awaiting release) 2.Secret Window, Secret Garden (awaiting release) 3.The Libertine (pre-production) 4.They got married and had lots of children (the french movie-filming) 5.The Rum Diary (announced- sort of a sequel to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, ain't it coool??) 6.Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (announced) 7.POTC 2 (announced) [EDIT] Alright I found out who plays the bad guy in Secret Window, Secret Garden (will be known as SWSG after this) John Turturro. I also found this article about the movie, with a couple of Johnny pics as Mort Rainey. Enjoy! Johnny Depp as Mort Rainey, in SWSG

Oh wow, he looks like himself!
Every time I watch Pirates of the Caribbean I look for Johnny in Jack Sparrow, and it's so hard to see him.

I agree, it's amazing how different Johnny looks in each of his film roles. My dad didn't beleive me when I told him that the same guy played Abberline in From Hell, was Jack Sparrow in POTC.

I MUST see that movie!
I find myself putting pix of Jack and Johnny side by side and looking really hard (it's such hard work staring at him all the time... sigh) and it IS amazing at how different he looks. I also pause my dvd on his face up close a lot, looking for Johnny. And in the bloopers, when his wig comes off, there he is... I see him!
btw, I was sparrowlover, guest, above.

New news! Secret Window release update!
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The Johnny Depp thriller "Secret Window" is opening six weeks earlier than originally planned, a move that could help the film take advantage of the heat surrounding the actor.
The Sony film, based on a novella by Stephen King, will now come out on March 12 instead of April 23. The announcement was made Wednesday by Jeff Blake, the studio's president of worldwide marketing and distribution.
"We just had our first screening of the film, and it went great; Johnny Depp is terrific in this film," said Blake, who noted that the media campaign for the film kicks off Feb. 1 with a spot during Super Bowl XXXVIII.
Depp plays a writer who is in the midst of a painful divorce and is stalked by a psychotic stranger. John Turturro, Ving Rhames and Timothy Hutton also star. "Window" has not yet been rated, but Blake said he anticipates a PG-13 tag. David Koepp directed.
Depp is nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl." The Globes take place Sunday.
"It's Johnny Depp's next movie after his fabulous success in 'Pirates,' and we're anxious to release the film as soon as it's ready," Blake said.
By debuting March 12, "Window" will have a head start on two thriller/horror films debuting the following weekend. Universal's "Dawn of the Dead" remake and Warner Bros.' "Taking Lives," an action thriller about a serial killer.

Yes, ditto what Athena said, but great great great great NEWS!!! Thank u sparrowlover! More updates like those are very much welcomed! *hugs* Golden Globes Update, although Johnny lost out (Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy) to Bill Murray (I haven't seen Lost in Translation but I guess it must've been one hell of a performance to beat Johnny), we could still hope for a nomination for the Oscars, anyone heard about it yet?
