School isn't that bad for me. I just feel loathe towards the preps, the jocks and the popular. THEY ARE SO FREAKIN' ANNOYING!!! I wouldn't mind them so much if they didn't think they are better than others all the time. They've got a serious mental issue that I'm not going to figure out for them. I just steer clear of them and hang out with my group of buddies. In the US, not many schools require uniforms. Only private schools do, but there aren't a lot because you have to pay a hunk of cash if you want your kid to attend one of those schools. So most people send their children to public schools. I wouldn't be able to live if I weren't allowed to wear what I want everyday. I'd seriously die, I would.

I liked having to wear a uniform in high school. It saved the trouble of worrying about what to wear every day, and cause everyone was the same it tended to help limit the cliquishness of high school, because people couldn't automatically be classified - as jocks, or preps or whatever (at least in my school it did)
the all girl thing probably helped with that as well.

well we had to wear uniforms but we still had different groups like the tarts , moshers , goths , and so forth didn't matter that we all wore the same

What are the moshers and tarts?? ;D Sounds funny.
I can't believe I'm actually excited about going back to school this year. Wow. This is a milestone!

Our little community isn't open minded enough to have goths and moshers. I'm the most goth thing there is in our school (ha!) and I rather funnily get put into the freaks and outcasts section.
In other words, every girl who doesn't giggle at every single guy on the planet, follow vogue like it's the bible and get laid by a different member of the footie team every friday is an outcast. I'm soooo blessed to be a freak.

Um, well, what do the moshers do? What do they dress like? What do they act like? Just tell me these things and I can figure it out, I'm a smart girl. ;D Wow, the tarts sound horrifying, LOL! At our school, they are younger and less-scarier versions of Joan Rivers. ;D

I'm sure the moshers/goths/popular people/whatever all get really pissed off with every one saying they do/wear/act like the same thing. I know I sure as hell would.
Arrrggghhh! Nothing, I mean, NOTHING (ok, apart from David Dickenson) gets on my nerves as much as stereotyping does.
Ohhh.... You have black nailvarnish on. You're a goth. Do people know what goth means???
You're a punk coz you wear baggy pants and listen to Simple Plan. Argh!
etc.etc.
Or whatever. People have just totally forgotten what things like this mean (punk and goth especially). People who have to sort people into categories just so they can handle the world a bit better do my head in.
There's no such thing as individuality anymore. Even being 'different' has become a clichè.
Argh man I need to get back to school so I have some people to vent my anger on. Who needs a punch bag when you have enemies?

Well, Aimee, you saying those things can make people judge you even more. No matter what you say, there will always be stereotyping in the world. It's the inevitable. So you might as well stop complaining now and stop hoping for world peace, because it will never happen. Because we all judge.

Well, Aimee, you saying those things can make people judge you even more. Well, I really do pity those people. I don't have to go around judging people, because I'm happy with myself, where I am and what I'm doing. I don't have to see where I am when I'm compared to other people to make my self feel better. Because that's all branding is. When I see someone I see them as a person, not a category.
Hoping for world peace?! Ha! No, I'm just hoping that people will stop using words that they don't understand the meaning to and stop branding people in pathetic little categories so they feel like they have friends.
Yes, we all judge, but we don't all make sweeping stereotypes and brand people.

I still like branding 'tarts' though ;D .
I kinda agree with whatever you all said, people will never stop branding and labelling, and I really do pity those people. Why can't they just mind their own lives and move on. I also pity those 'lost' kids, they search for a clique just to feel accepted.

They just want to feel accepted. You can't really change that in people. I have a friend that sometimes ditches us for more the popular group. But whenever the popular people get tired of her, she always comes begging back to us. And you know, she's a good person and our friend so we always forgive her. But lately, I'm not sure if that's the right thing to do ...

Well, my friend is actually really nice and everything, that's why we've forgiven her so many times. But lately, she's been acting like a real tart, like talking only about boys and clothes ALL THE TIME. I mean, we don't need to hear about how expensive her American Eagle pants are every single day at lunch! But whatever, I hope we can talk to her soon. School was GREAT! JUST FAB!!! Seriously, everyone has totally changed. Some tarts are now ... well, regular (if you get what I really mean) and guys are more mature, LOL! I didn't think that was possible, but hey, they proved me wrong. I thought I was over this one guy, but then he came back looking all hot and sexy and now I have a huge crush on him AGAIN this year. What's it been now, two years, LOL? Anyway, I have this horribly boring teacher that bosses us around way too much and makes us organize our things HER way, but I'm not doing that. Other than that, my classes are all pretty good. One of my best friends is in basically ALL my classes, how lucky am I? And volleyball starts next Monday, can't wait to get practicing. Oh yeah, and this year, my style has MAJORLY improved (without having to wear nasty, skimpy things like SOME girls do : .
